History

The building located at 22 Clinton Place has had numerous owners. We are still in the process of researching the original family who once dwelled here. We do know the house is a turn of the century Victorian, dating back to approximately 1898. We have been told that the two ceramic tiles located on opposite sides of the fireplace in the library are photographs of the children of the original owners. We will be very excited when our search has ended and the mystery is solved.

The Innkeepers

22 Clinton Place has two Innkeepers; John Leech and Edward Pitt.

John Leech is a native of the area and has resided at Clinton Place for the past 15 years. He entered the entrepreneurial world 20 years ago when he established A Catered Affair Consultants, a highly respected catering company, servicing Central New York.

Upon completing his education in Europe, he then ventured to the United States which he has called home for over 25 years. He is a certified hospitality administrator and has spent his entire life in this industry. His past accomplishments include his involvement as manager of the Algonquin and Westbury hotels in New York City, manager of Forte Hotel Worldwide Reservations and as consultant at The Inn at Irving Place, which is part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
